Red Ludwigia (Ludwigia Repens)
Red Ludwigia (Ludwigia Repens)
Red Ludwigia is an excellent submerged plant. With a red stem and glossy red-green leaves Red Ludwigia really stands out in ponds and aquariums. Primary uses of Red Ludwigia are oxygenation, water clarification, and cover for small fish.
Planting Instructions: For aquariums we recommend weighting the plants to the bottom with either aquarium safe stones or decorations. For ponds we recommend planting in small baskets with pea gravel or a clay based soil. While Red Ludwigia can be left free floating or weighted to the bottom of a pond, it will grow better and be more cold tolerant if planted.
